Your switchboard is the heart of your home's power. An old one is the weakest link.
Why it matters
Old fuses can't keep up. Ceramic rewireable fuses were designed for far fewer appliances than a modern home runs. Overloaded or incorrectly rewired fuses are a real fire risk.
Protection on every circuit. A modern board with circuit breakers and RCDs protects both your wiring and your family.
Ready for the future. Air-conditioning, induction cooktops, solar, batteries and EV chargers all need switchboard capacity. Upgrading first saves rework later.
Asbestos awareness. Some older meter boards contain asbestos. Patrick will identify suspect boards and make sure they're handled safely and correctly.
Resale and insurance. A modern, labelled board is a plus at inspection time and reduces the risk of electrical fire claims.
